• Several visitors from the larger BYM community were recongnized
o Margaret Stambaugh

• The Epistle was read and approved
• Wren and Annette are LEAVING 
• Hannah and Georgia are approved to write the index and a process to admit JYFs who would like to move into the YF community early
• Coffeehouse committee
o Theme: making fun of adult business meeting!
o We need YFs to make ridiculous comments
o FAPs are YFs and will sleep and have a cuddle puddle in the front
o We have lights because Dave is awesome!!
o Nora will hold the Coffeehouse in the Light
o Talk to Coffeehouse committee if you have further ideas/concerns
• Adult Business Meeting
o FUM discussion – fund or not?
o Nominating committee
o Budget was approved
o Started as a memorial for 4 women who were cornerstones of the BYM community
o Howard Fuller read a letter from the YFSC about severe budget reductions
o Hopewell is celebrating their 275 anniversary
• Calendar Committee met
o Jan exec weekend of 29th at Stony Run
o Issues with FAPs, not YFs
o Feb 12-14th at FMW
o April 23-25th at Maury River Meeting
o Grad con 28-30th at Anapolis – nonsmoking campus issue was discussed
• Workshop leader compensation
o Intergenerational play leaders will be paid by BYM
o Zimbabwe
 Donations v. paying was discussed
 $100 for the leaders and $150 donation
 Helen and Jamie will ask how they would like to be paid
o Today’s workshop – mediation – would like to have lodging paid for
 $100 for Becca’s daddy!
• What Did Eric Break?
o A hangar, on his head.
o He spilled a LOT of syrup on the floor and in a drawer
o He rubbed a lot of food into the carpet in the Loud Lounge
• Turn in key and lanyard and meal card
• Cleaning tomorrow morning , but we should tidy up while Coffeehouse is being set up
• Med kit needs medical tape and pre-wrap
• Sign the register book outside of Adult Business Meeting Room
• Nigels Trip
o During the School Year he went to YF things and he heard about other yearly meetings from kids at West Town and always wanted to go to their YF things
o One day he said during the summer he wanted
o Summer Appaliration, PYM
o Could not go to New York (transpo) or New England Yearly Meetings (same week)
o They do not use self-governance
o He wanted to see how they are run
o How were they run?
 They both had nurturing committees instead of exec and they were kindof like members of large except they hat a clerk for nurturing. At SAMA they tell the adults what they want to be done and the FAPs arrange all the transpo. Because no matter where it is people have to drive 8 -12. Adults Run Everything
 At PYM the kids are more involved and they cook and have more options
 They both had bed times
 At SAMA the YF program goes from 7th to 12th grade
 At SAMA they had 40
 PYM had around 30
 Did they have business meetings?
• SAMA had 1 and only nurturing committee had to go
• PYM had 1 and everyone had to go. (They have four total a year)
 Were they allowed to snuggle?
• They were allowed but they did less. At SAMA they had 2 dorms and a bedtime of around 1. If you wanted to you could all sleep in the same room
• At PYM bedroom was 11:30 and you could not go to other rooms and to be in the same room with opposite genders you had to have a FAP
 Did you talk to them about visiting us and more people visiting them?
• They wanted to do it
• SAMA is a 8-12 hour drive to get there
• PYM Nigel is going to bring his roomie and hes going to try to get them to intervisitate
 Were they carefree or spiritual?
• He got the same kind of feeling as here about the people
• It didn’t feel more spiritual
• It felt like meeting away from meeting
 Was their more Jesus and God Stuff
• About the same
 Did you get the feeling that it was more adult supervised/directed?
• While they were there they at PYM they had more adults and they were herding each other
• At both of them they had a few workshops just for YFs
• But there were ones which you choose your workshop
 Adults handled the finances completely
 The Annual Session was planned by the adults but the kids chose themes
 If the YFs as a whole decided something but it conflicted with the adults, what would happen?
• At SAMA he is not sure because he didn’t see much of this
• At PYM he could see it going eitherway they need FAPs too stay up
o On the last night they got to stay up till MIDNIGHT!!!!
o They could not let us to stay up later
o They didn’t like the workshops so they held a business meeting and they decided the kids could have input on workshops
o The main coordinator for YFs said ok we will talk to the adults
 Nigel wishes he could go to NYYM and NEYM
• Had an amazing time
 Nigel answered questions about how we do it and they were definitely thinking about ours
 Did YFs goto adult BM?
• They had to go to a couple parts but mostly no
 BYM goes farely far North and South
• We could extend a invitation to other YMs to our conferences which are farther
• We could go the extends of BYM so to include others
 Nigel is going to try to goto more PYM gatherings whenever they are not conflicting
• Nobody could tell me how much they cost?
• PYM has 2 a year and has another 1 for just YF
• They also have YF ones on weekends
o Those were a few hundred dollars

o Kit and Becca had planned everyone would go to Bizness Meeting to hear Epistles
o They would then goto clean
o Then thank you circle

• Clean Up
o Tonight During Coffee House Setup work on cleaning up
o We should clean up and not make the mess bigger
o Tommorows wake up will be kinda on the early side
o Start cleaning today
o Start cleaning during any free time

• Pam wants to thank everyone for helping her yesterday and would like us to hold Shane and his family and friends in the light
o She is going to try to go to some cons
• There was adult friends which people saw
o Susan Fetter could not get over here and would like to thank YF’s for Red Cap service and we talked to her!
o She loved intergenerational play
o Her husband loved produce
o Supervisory Committee is the committee which supervises the employees and handles hiring and firing (ALLISONS BOSS).
o Tasha is the head of sup
